Gateway to the Discovery Islands — two well-maintained marinas serving boaters year-round
The Largest of the Discovery Islands
Quadra Island Harbour Authority is one of 54 Harbour Authorities providing service to the Commercial Fishing Fleet on the BC coast. It was incorporated in 1996 in response to Fisheries and Oceans Small Craft Harbours Branch initiative to bring local community management to the publicly-owned Commercial Fishing Harbours on the BC coast.
Quadra Island is the largest and most populated of the Discovery Islands. Located at the northern end of the Strait of Georgia, it is nestled between Vancouver Island and the mainland coast and lies approximately three and a half kilometers east of Campbell River.
The area is well known for its breathtaking scenery, salmon fishing, and abundant wildlife including whales, dolphins, bald eagles, and bears.
